Willie L. Hudgins, Jr. became a member of the firm Collier Shannon Scott, as a partner. Mr. Hudgins joined the Washington, D.C. firm’s antitrust practice group, where he assists companies in analyzing the potential implications of acquisitions and market practices to make successful strategic decisions that comply with antitrust regulations.
 
Mr. Hudgins previously worked at the U. S. Department of Justice, where he was the deputy chief of the litigation II section of the antitrust division. With more than 30 years of experience at the Department of Justice, Mr. Hudgins worked on some of the largest merger antitrust cases. He has significant expertise analyzing mergers in high-technology industries, as well as considerable experience working with the paper, food, minerals, healthcare, machinery, and electronics industries.

Mr. Hudgins earned a J.D. from Howard Law School in 1968 and graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the Virginia State Bar.
