Uzma provides legal counsel on a broad range of matters within the Corporate Legal Services group at Liberty Mutual Insurance, including acting as the primary attorney for their procurement department, which oversees $6 billion of supplier spend a year. Uzma is also legal counsel to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Meeting Management & Event Strategy group. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual in 2012, Uzma was a corporate securities attorney at a large Boston law firm with a focus on private equity. Uzma holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Loyola University Chicago and a law degree from Boston College Law School.
Uzma serves on the board of directors for the Women’s Bar Foundation where she also represents victims of domestic violence and asylum seekers. Uzma also serves on the board of directors of the South Asian Bar Association of Greater Boston where she is chair of their public relations committee.
