THOMAS C. POINDEXTER

Appointed Chair of Winston & Strawn’s Diversity Committee

Thomas C. Poindexter, partner in Winston & Strawn’s Washington, D.C. office, has been appointed the new chair of the firm’s diversity committee. Mr. Poindexter is a partner in the energy group, handling clients’ matters on all aspects of nuclear licensing in his practice before the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
 
Mr. Poindexter represents DOE contractors regarding enforcement, performance improvement, and compliance matters. He also has extensive experience in the investigation of potential wrongdoing and allegation-related matters.

Before joining the firm in 1986 as a technical advisor, he served the NRC as the project manager for the Three Mile Island nuclear generating station site cleanup. 

Mr. Poindexter is a graduate of Purdue University, where he received a B.S. in nuclear engineering, and of the George Mason University School of Law, where he received a J.D. and was managing editor of the Civil Rights Law Journal.
