Teresa Wynn Roseborough has been named chief counsel, litigation, at MetLife, Inc. Roseborough had been a partner in the Atlanta office of Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan LLP, where she focused on complex litigation matters involving constitutional law, telecommunications law, education law, wetlands, and government regulation.

From 1994–1996, Roseborough served as deputy assistant attorney general in the office of legal counsel of the United States Department of Justice. She also served as law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens during the 1987–1988 term.

Roseborough has an outstanding record of service for legal and children’s organizations, including the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, Georgia’s Judicial Nominating Committee, the American Constitution Society, Leadership Georgia, the Howard School, the Children’s School, the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority, the Center for Civil Rights at the University of North Carolina, and the Supreme Court Historical Society’s Publication Committee.

Roseborough earned a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Virginia, a master’s in education from Boston University, and her juris doctorate from the University of North Carolina.
