Seth is an experienced General Counsel and senior executive as well as a certified executive coach. He is currently the Chief Legal Officer at Marqeta (www.marqeta.com) where he leads Marqeta’s Legal, Risk, Compliance and Regulatory functions. Prior to joining Marqeta he was SolarCity’s EVP, General Counsel and Secretary. Seth was responsible for SolarCity’s Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions and led the Company’s 2012 IPO. Seth was also SolarCity’s first VP of HR, building the function as the Company scaled from 200 to 1200 employees.
He is focused on delivering business oriented results while building top performing, diverse teams with high EQ and a commitment to culture. While at SolarCity, Seth’s diverse team led to him being recognized as a “Diversity Champion” by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
Seth earned his bachelor’s degree in political science at Pennsylvania State University and earned a law degree, with honors, at Boston University School of Law. He lives (and now works) in Pacifica with his family and four pets.
