Sara E. Moss Receives Human Relations Award
Sara E. Moss, senior vice president and general counsel, Pitney Bowes Inc., has been awarded the Human Relations Award from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in recognition of her “tireless efforts to fight anti-Semitism, bigotry, and hatred and to promise integrity, and decency throughout her life and endeavors.”
A former assistant United States attorney before joining Pitney Bowes, Ms. Moss was in practice as a senior litigation partner at the New York law firm of Howard, Smith & Levin, which has since merged with the Washington, D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling. In her litigation practice, Ms. Moss represented clients in white-collar criminal matters, complex securities and commercial and product liability cases.
Included as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Business” by Fortune magazine in 2001, Ms. Moss has also received the “Aiming High” award from the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund.
The ADL Human Relations Award was created to honor individuals who have helped turn justice, equality, and humanity into meaningful realities—whose words and deeds embody the very highest ideals of the ADL. “It is a privilege to present the ADL Human Relations Award to Sara,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL’s national director. “We are honored by the overwhelming support and dedication she has given to her family, career, and ADL,” continued Foxman.
Pitney Bowes is a $4.1 billion global provider of integrated mail and document management solutions headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. The company serves over two million businesses of all sizes through dealer and direct operations.
