Roy Haynes is a proud husband and father of two little girls. He is extremely curious about the world around him and how he can use his talents to make it better. It was this curiosity that led him to become an attorney at Citigroup Global Markets Inc. (“CGMI”) while remaining deeply involved in various community volunteer activities.
At CGMI, Roy is a Director and Associate General Counsel. He works as an attorney structuring complex financial transactions and assuring that Citi upholds its mission of being a trusted partner to its clients and the world community by providing responsible financial services that enable growth and economic progress for all.
Outside of Citi, Roy is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Legal Information for Families Today (“LIFT”). LIFT is an innovative non-profit organization which each year empowers 25,000 unrepresented families to advocate for themselves in New York City Family Court by providing legal advice, information and compassionate guidance. He also mentors at risk youth in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn through his church, high school males through his fraternity Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, law students of color through the Practicing Attorneys for Law Students program (“PALS”) and a host of other youth through informal relationships.
When Roy is not working or volunteering he enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with people he cares about and rooting for the Yankees.
