Mike Jackson is Associate General Counsel for the Compliance Governance, Training, and Culture (GTC) team here within CELA.  As a member of Microsoft’s Compliance and Ethics (C&E) leadership team, Mike and his team are responsible for advancing trust in Microsoft through policy and policy governance, compliance learning, communications, culture assessments and surveys, and through providing legal guidance on anti-corruption and other regulatory matters.  Additionally, the team is responsible for ensuring that Microsoft’s products, goods, and services are inclusive, considerate of local practice, and reflect Microsoft’s mission and values globally.  Immediately prior to this role, Mike led a team responsible for conducting complex workplace investigations in North America within C&E.  Mike is a member of Microsoft’s Corporate, External, Legal Affairs (CELA) Leadership Team and recently concluded his two-year term as the D&I lead for CELA and now serves as Chair Emeritus for CELA’s D&I Council.  Prior to Microsoft, Mike built and led teams at several Fortune 500 organizations including Target and The J.M. Smucker Company.

Mike is a member of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA)’s N-Gen Advisory Board and served previously on the Board of Directors for the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association.  Mike Jackson was recently recognized by Yahoo U.K. as part of its 2021 OUTstanding LGBTQ+ Role Model List.  Mike and his husband, Chad, reside in the Seattle metro area.
