Michael Tayag graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. He is a first-generation Filipino-American and law student. Before attending Yale Law School, Mr. Tayag worked for the City of San Jose as a Program Performance Auditor and for Covington & Burlington LLP as an SEO Law Fellow. He was a Regional Coordinator for the National Alliance for Filipino Concerns and a community organizer with the Pilipino Association of Workers and Immigrants. At Yale, Mr. Tayag is part of the Worker and Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic (WIRAC), the Yale Law and Policy Review, and various affinity groups. As a lawyer, he hopes to advance fairness and opportunity for workers and to promote corporate responsibility and due diligence with respect to labor and employment practices.
