Appointed Vice President and General Counsel, Sam’s Club and Vice President,
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
Kirk Forrest recently joined Wal-Mart as vice president and general counsel of the SAM’s CLUB division, where he leads the legal department and serves on the executive committee. As a member of the corporate legal department, he is also vice president of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Mr. Forrest was associate general counsel at the Williams Companies, a group of diversified energy companies in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Forrest has more than 25 years of legal experience at large companies and law firms.
Mr. Forrest is a founding member of the American Corporate Counsel Association and served as the first chair of its young lawyers committee.
Currently, he is vice president of the Internal Association of Defense Counsel. A magna cum laude graduate of Cornell University, Mr. Forrest earned a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
