2016 LMJ Scholar Recipient

Kenneth S. Guerra was selected as an MCCA LMJ Scholarship recipient in 2016. Kenneth graduated with honors and distinction from Indiana University Bloomington with a B.S. in Microbiology and is now a second-year law student at Indiana University Maurer School of Law. As a first generation, Mexican-American student, Kenneth is committed to fighting social injustice. As an undergraduate, he studied the African diaspora and trans-Atlantic slave trade while abroad in West Africa. He also led global health brigades, bringing medicine and clean water to impoverished communities across Central and South America.

Before law school, Kenneth worked as an intern at Carlson Caspers, PA in Minneapolis, MN and as an ICLEO Fellow with the Indiana Supreme Court. After his first year of law school, Kenneth worked as a Summer Associate at Tilleke & Gibbins Consultants Ltd in Hanoi, Vietnam, primarily serving American Fortune 1000 companies and their subsidiaries in Asia. During the academic year, Kenneth serves as the Chair of the Dean of Student Affair’s Compliance Board, Vice-Chair of the Student Bar Association, and a Class Representative on the Dean’s Advisory Council. He also competes in Moot Court Competitions and works as an Associate for the IP Theory Law Journal. During the Summer of 2018, Kenneth will work as a Summer Associate in Washington, DC at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP.
