As an associate at Squire Sanders, Ely excelled and quickly rose the ranks to lead strategy at Intuition Media as their VP of BD and Strategy. His 6 years there prepared him for the challenging world of licensing and digital distribution at UMG. At the world’s largest record label, Ely ran the Business and Legal Affairs group for the company’s Latin American division in Miami. Continuing his turn in entertainment, Ely moved to media giant Viacom as their International Corporate Counsel and Director of Business and Legal affairs. Samsung the world’s largest Consumer Electronics Company brought Ely in as Sr. Director and Associate General Counsel for their Product & Media Services. After 4 years, Ely continued his journey in the tech industry by joining Spotify, the largest streaming music service.
