Bobbie Gregg

Bobbie Gregg

Bobbie Gregg joined Bank One Corporation in 2000 as senior vice president and compliance director, reporting directly to the executive vice president and chief legal officer. She manages regulatory compliance for all Bank One lines of business, including retail and commercial banking, investment management services, retail and commercial brokerage services, credit card, and insurance.

Before joining Bank One, Gregg worked for Sears, Roebuck and Co. in a number of different roles. There, she established the company-wide legal compliance function, reporting to the CEO and the audit committee of the Board of Directors. She also served as one of two deputies general counsel. Prior to joining Sears, Gregg served as an assistant United States attorney in the Northern District of Illinois and as a judicial law clerk for Judge William J. Bauer in the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Gregg aptly advises women to embrace change. “Legal education and litigation experience have honed your problem-solving, project management, and advocacy skills. These skills translate well in any number of roles beyond litigation,” says Gregg. “Remain open to different career options,” she continues, “which may be outside the traditional legal mold but can be just as professionally satisfying as being a litigator.”

Gregg earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University and her B.A. from the University of Illinois.
