Description: The Washington, D.C. office of Norton Rose Fulbright is seeking an experienced associate (3rd to 5th year) to join the Regulations, Investigations, Securities and Compliance practice team. Ideal candidates will have experience advising government contractors regarding their contracts with federal agencies, including compliance and regulatory issues; drafting and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers performing on government contracts; counseling clients on claims and disputes involving government contracts, including preparing and prosecuting requests for equitable adjustment and claims; and assisting clients with bid protests. Additional experience with commercial transactions involving government contracts, small business issues, import/export compliance, including knowledge of ITAR/EAR issues, and international transactions is beneficial. Preference given to candidates who possess a broad background in a government contracts practice, with experience in corporate transactions, compliance counseling, and litigation. The candidate should have strong academic credentials from a top-tier law school (U.S. JD required); excellent communication and writing skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. The candidate should also be an active member of the DC Bar or be willing to apply for membership within 90 days of employment at the firm.
