Position: Dallas or Phoenix – Real Estate Associate
Location: Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ

Description: Dentons US LLP is seeking an associate in either Dallas or Phoenix with excellent academic credentials and 3-5 years of legal experience to join our sophisticated, multifaceted and highly-regarded Real Estate practice. The associate hired for this position will work collaboratively with dedicated partners and associates on a variety of complex transactional matters, and will assume such responsibilities as:

  • Contributing to the coordination and execution of a broad range of complex transactional matters such as real estate financing, commercial real estate development, acquisitions and sales, asset-based lending and commercial leasing
  • Assisting with closing financings, acquisitions, sales, leases and the development of real property
  • Assisting with real estate financing transactions such as mortgage loans, securitized loans, construction loans and mezzanine loans
  • Performing due diligence, general research and writing
  • Creating real estate joint ventures
  • Helping to manage debt and equity transactions

  • Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Has strong interpersonal skills
  • Is comfortable managing multiple workloads and can prioritize work effectively
  • Values teamwork and working in a collaborative environment
  • 3-5 years of commercial real estate transactional experience is required
  • Excellent title and survey review skills required
  • Ability to draft (and negotiate with supervision) complex development, purchase and sale, leasing, and financing and corporate documents is preferred
  • Ability to coordinate transactions with third party vendors, such as title companies, surveyors, etc. is preferred
  • Previous law firm experience is required
  • Should be licensed to practice law in either the State of Texas or Arizona and be in good standing
