Description: Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, seeks to hire a highly qualified junior to mid-level associate with law firm experience to join our Employee Benefits Practice in the Pittsburgh office.

Practice Description:
With approximately 75 lawyers and benefits professionals, we have one of the largest and most robust employee benefits and executive compensation practices in a law firm of our size. Our comprehensive practice helps clients of all types (ranging from small, middle-market, and Fortune 500 companies to governmental entities and tax-exempt organizations) to address the full gamut of employee benefits and executive compensation matters – including developing and maintaining employee benefit plans (retirement and health and welfare); designing and implementing executive compensation plans and arrangements; and responding to challenging payroll tax and fringe benefits issues. We also work with our retirement plan clients to structure fiduciary arrangements and deal with the complex rules regarding the investment of retirement plan assets. We advise clients regarding the unique challenges that multiemployer plans and their contributing employers, tax-exempt entities, and governmental employers face. Relative to all aspects of our work, we routinely advise on the applicable requirements under ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, and other applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:
A strong background in employee benefits and executive compensation is required. Experience in designing, drafting, and operating tax-qualified retirement and health and welfare plans, as well as nonqualified deferred compensation and equity compensation is preferred. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills.
