MCCA® unveils its annual report on general counsel of color leading the legal departments of America's Fortune 500 companies, with a bonus look at the corporations ranked 501 to 1000. This year, 32 general counsel of color form a small but impressive body, continuously improving on the previous year's successes and leading companies to the fore of the pack. New Mexico Rising: Opportunities for a Diverse Legal Community
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2004, New Mexico was 43.5 percent Caucasian, 43.3 percent Hispanic, 10.1 percent American Indian/Alaska Native, and 2.4 percent African American.
