Position: Corporate Counsel - Benefits

Description:  This attorney will provide legal advice to the business units of MetLife’s Corporate Benefit Funding (“CBF”) division of the Americas. CBF services the needs of plan sponsors in funding and managing the risks associated with qualified, non-qualified and welfare benefit obligations. This includes pension products, institutional income annuities, corporate and bank owned life insurance, and post-retirement benefit solutions. In addition, CBF provides annuity solutions for personal injury claims in the structured settlements market. The attorney’s principal role will be to advise our CBF business partners regarding application of and compliance with state insurance laws, rules and regulations, but he/she may also support MetLife’s Global Benefits and Reinsurance operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Juris Doctorate.
  2. Admitted to practice in at least one state.
  3. At least 5 years of relevant practice post bar admission.
  4. 2 or more years’ relevant annuity or life insurance regulatory experience a plus.

Position: Senior Associate Corporate Counsel, Channels
